Why NuPrime?
NuPrime is a high-end American audio brand known for hybrid Class D amplifier design. Unlike the common perception of Class D as "cold, thin, digital-sounding," NuPrime's patented ODC (Only Distortion Cancellation) circuit and precision power supply deliver a sound quality approaching Class A warmth — while keeping efficiency high, heat low and the chassis remarkably compact.
Entry pick: IA-9XG Integrated Amplifier
The IA-9XG is NuPrime's latest integrated amplifier — and officially the world's most compact high-power integrated amp. Delivering 170W per channel (8Ω), it uses the latest GaN (Gallium Nitride) power supply technology to deliver nearly double the power of the IA-9X predecessor in a lighter chassis.
For vinyl enthusiasts, the IA-9XG's standout feature is its built-in MM phono stage. This two-stage RIAA circuit uses NJR MUSES8820 audio-grade op-amps and offers multiple impedance and capacitance settings to match various MM cartridges. That means you can connect a Pro-Ject turntable directly and start listening — no external phono stage needed.
The IA-9XG also features a unique Harmonic Generation circuit, allowing listeners to tune the sonic character between neutral/detailed and warm/analog. According to the latest review by The Absolute Sound, the IA-9XG excels in low noise floor, dynamic impact and versatility — an outstanding value entry-level high-end integrated amp.
Best for: Listeners who want an all-in-one system with vinyl playback built in. The IA-9XG is NuPrime's best-value entry choice.
Reference pick: AMG STA-SE Stereo Power Amplifier
If you already have a preamp or DAC/preamp and want a refined reference-grade stereo power amp, the AMG STA-SE is NuPrime's reference-grade workhorse. It won the HiFi Advice HFA Award, with reviewers describing its sound as "confident and fluid" — transcending the typical Class D stereotype and approaching the tonal quality of American high-end brand Pass Labs.
The AMG series uses reference-grade components throughout the power supply, amplifier circuit and parts selection. It shares the same core product tier as the IA-9XG, but as a pure power amp it requires a separate preamp.
Best for: Enthusiasts who already have a preamp and seek refined, reference-grade performance.
High-end new choice: Evolution STA-SE Stereo Power Amplifier
The Evolution series is NuPrime's flagship product line. The Evolution STA-SE is the newer model in the series, featuring the latest amplifier circuit technology. It delivers 230W per channel (8Ω) and 310W (4Ω).
The Evolution series uses separate power supply and amplifier circuit boards, paired with a premium toroidal transformer and large capacitor bank. Hong Kong audio outlet feverSound tested the Evolution STA-SE driving the notoriously difficult, current-hungry Magico A3 speakers — and found it the most affordable power amp in its class that can tame them. Japanese audio magazine HiVi has also selected the Evolution series as Best Buy recommendations.
Best for: Enthusiasts who want the latest technology and strong drive for demanding speakers.
Flagship: Evolution Two-SE Mono Power Amplifier
The Evolution Two-SE is the flagship mono block of NuPrime's Evolution series. Each unit delivers 300W (8Ω) and 600W (4Ω), with peak power reaching 820W (4Ω). A pair of Evolution Two-SE run in mono, with complete left-right separation and zero crosstalk.
It features a 900W toroidal transformer and a 48,000µF capacitor bank — staggering power delivery. Whether it's large-scale symphony or electronic music's low-frequency bombardment, the Evolution Two-SE handles it effortlessly. This is the pinnacle of NuPrime's engineering.
Best for: Experienced enthusiasts who demand ultimate channel separation and dynamics, and have the budget for flagship gear.
