Pro-Ject

Founded in 1991 in Vienna, Austria by Heinz Lichtenegger, Pro-Ject Audio Systems was born during the CD boom, when vinyl was declared dead. Lichtenegger believed analogue playback was the most cost-effective and simplest way to enjoy audiophile-quality music. A 1993 partnership with a former Tesla factory in the Czech Republic remains Pro-Ject's core production base. The 1998 Debut series — delivering near-high-end sound at an accessible price — became one of the best-selling products in hi-fi history, with over one million units sold worldwide. Pro-Ject is a pioneer and driving force behind the vinyl revival, offering everything from entry-level turntables to reference-grade systems, all handcrafted in Europe with exceptional value.
